Akira Shinmei is the oldest member and second-in-command of the Gorangers, himself the Aoranger.
Background[]
Akira was a marksman instructor who was training in the snow draped Touhoku when The Black Cross Army attacked. He like the rest of the Gorangers, would become part of the secret squadron to avenge his fallen comrades.
Personality[]
Akira fancies American cowboy outfits and had aspirations to be a racer.
Abilities and Equipment[]
Blue Cherry[]
Akira's skills a marksman gave him full use of his main weapon the Blue Cherry and the upgraded Ultra Blue Cherry in the second half of the series which fire the special arrows, the Blue Arrows and Blue Rocket Arrows.
Piloting[]
Akira is also skilled in piloting, having piloted the Varibloom and Varidreen and the super motorcycles, Blue Machine and Blue Star.
Super Motorcycles[]
Prior to its destruction, Aoranger drove the Blue Machine with the Kiranger in the sidecar. The motorcycle was later replaced by the similar Blue Star.
